I'm a contract graphic designer, web designer & photographer who likes to use my skills in tandem for web and print media.

Photography is a design tool I use to personalize each client's project. A background in pre press management gives me an additional edge. These skills have made me a productive, versatile member of any creative team.

Flash Designer:
• Working in a design group atmosphere, I participated in the development of various web sites for Solve Solutions www.SolveSolutions.com using Photoshop, Flash, DreamWeaver and hardcoded HTML. Sites Chari designed/developed include: www.retreatatfranklin.com, www.rollingmillhill.com, www.metropolitan8.com, www.square1revolution.com, www.thechesterfieldcondos.com.

Web Developer

Flash Designer:
• As one of the Flash designer/html production artists for the www.1800GoGuard.com web site I've done the front end development of JavaScript, Cold Fusion and hard coded HTML for various sections of the revised site.

• Basing the new sections on the revised design I created the sub pages and filled them with content.

• I maintained the content updates on this and other of their web sites.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (Corporate Office), Lebanon, TN

Graphic Designer:
• Created Internal Communication graphics that set the design standard for projects, such as: brochures, catalogs, calendars, presentation materials, event materials, video covers and posters, post cards, insurance and employee manuals, training books and all of the collateral materials.

• Created External Communication graphics such as: POS signs, news paper and magazine advertisements and advertorials, event posters, holiday greeting cards, CD covers (most projects contained my photography).

Web Developer:
• Designed and developed front end systems, and maintained content for three intranet and one internet sites. All sites are either protected or internal use only.

• Conceptualization and designed of project solutions from concept through completion.

Photographer:
• Company photographer for ads and articles used in magazines, newspapers, print and on-line projects

Project Management:
Management experience in offset printing and years of designing print and web media enabled me to plan and accomplish my projects successfully. Working comfortably with clients and department heads from project conception, budget, approval, production, deadlines, press checks and distribution gave the clients confidence that their projects would be done right.

Art Director / Graphics Manager
Dynamark Graphics Group, (subsidiary of PIP of TN) Nashville, TN

Graphics Manager:
• I worked with clients to establish the conceptual and stylistic direction for the design staff and oversaw their work, as well as the work of the production artists, contract artists, pre press technician and off-set printers.

• Planned, directed, and coordinated all projects in the graphic design/pre-press department.

• Responsible for preparing reports and overseeing productivity, changes in workflow, equipment, inventory, and other factors that affect expenditures and deadlines.

• Trained staff to maintain equipment.

• Streamlined various processes for efficiency and accuracy to meet the turn-around schedule for four stores and the home office.

Years of experience in the field gave me the ability to maintain comfortable, calm, confident working relationships with clients, store managers and employees. From project conception, budgets, approvals, deadlines, production, press checks and distribution the clients and management remained confident that their projects would be done right.

Web Developer:
• I redesigned and developed their 400-page Internet site Rogers Group Inc and a 300-page intranet with the helped help of the IS and Communications Departments, then helped maintain them.

Graphic Designer (My Photos Were the Source for Most Graphic Projects)
• I redesigned the 16 page monthly newsletter

Copywriter:
• While visiting the sites I wrote stories about the newest innovations being used at that location and items of interest for the internet, intranet and monthly newsletter.

Photographer:
• I flew to the various Rogers Group locations to take pictures of each of the quarries and their employees to use on the web site I was developing for them. Each location has it's own section on the site for local news.• My photos were also used in the Newsletter and Corporate Photo Gallery
