Design More to come later. |
Benefits materials were in need of an update in 2003 and I was asked to see what I could come up with. I started with a new logo that incorporat-ed the company logo, but introduced green. Next Cracker Barrel-orange was added to the border to help pull it all together. The background was created to add a light corrugated texture. We all liked the idea of Norman Rockwell paintings, as they seemed to fit so well with the Cracker Barrel brand of feel good nostalgia. |

The
Benefits Department needed a whole new look. |

| I wasn't able to actually use a Norman Rockwell image until 2005 and 2006 (not seen here). So I used images that had the Rockwell "feel". The images appear to be partially inside an oval enclosure. I have them breaking out of their enclave in places to give a hint of the Rockwell oval that frequently cuts into the Saturday Evening Post header. The first year we had a variety of border colors, but eventually decided to use green on all their materials for consistency and department branding. Magnets, brochures and post cards were also created using this same style (samples not available). Each month new posters were sent to the stores, I've shown a couple of them here. Identical Spanish versions of almost everything were also created and placed beside the English versions. Eventually a large poster display board was built for each store and I created 8-10 new posters every month for various departments to go into that display board. (Click here Communication Posters or on the link on the left to see samples of those posters). Use the links on the left to navigate to the graphic areas that you think might interest you the most.
